Princess Lily - Apricot Delight by Bets Maas

The design for Apricot Delight was created by using live plant material as a reference. The exhuberant colours for this project were chosen to create the best true-to-life result. It is stitched in Barbola which resembles stumpwork however does not use wires. In Barbola embroidery an embroidered background is decorated with detached embroidered pieces which are stiffened and modeled to form a three dimensional embroidery artwork.
