Roger by Hazel Blomkamp
This huge and interesting animal, a throwback to the time of the dinosaurs, is critically endangered because of poaching. Whilst normally seen with tick birds perching on their backs, Roger has been prettied up with Jacobean Flowers instead. This project measures 430 x 315 mm and you should not be frightened by the plethora of stitches that create the texture of the animals hide and the tree, trunk and leaf umbrella. It’s easy once you start.
