2 Day Workshop - Saturday 22th & Sunday 12th July

Overwhelmed by the famous Laburnum Arch at Bodnant in Wales. Catherine set about the task of emulating this natural botanical masterpiece by embroidering the cascades of laburnum flowers in layers which are set into the frame in separate circular mounts.

This gives the impression of 3 dimension to this very deep archway. In this class you will learn the secrets of achieving this technique whilst embellishing the picture with embroidery in ribbon, threads and silk fabrics . Join Catherine and enjoy a joyful time playing with many interesting stitch and textile techniques creating your own archway scene.  The design measures 25cm diameter, 9.84”.
