Issue 56Jill Oxton's magazines "Cross Stitch & Beading" are quality collectible magazines featuring full colour pictures, charts and instructions covering both beading and cross stitch. The beads used are Miyuki delica cylinder beads in size 11/0 and both Anchor and DMC stranded cotton options are given for the cross stitch designs. (The beads are available on this website).
Garron by Jill Oxton (after Archibold Thorburn 1860-1935) has a stitch count of 155 wide x 114 high. It was stitched on 30 count Linen using 2 strands of stranded cotton for the pony and one strand for the background. To save time the fabric could be painted and only the pony stitched.
