The Birds of Paradise are indigenous to Papua New Guinea and the males almost “show off” during their mating dance. This flamboyance is ideal for interpretation in many stitches, textured threads and a dash of beading. These threads are all washable so the designs can be used in interior decorating on cushions and as pictures or even in the fashion industry on garments. These birds are a symphony of coarse and fine feathers. A perfect balance is achieved by working in linear rhythms of chenille, perlé and yarn. Abstract patterns  enhance the plumage with combinations of round cord, interlaced bullions, vertical spiders web and circular bullions. Approx size each bird Indigo Inspiration 13cm x 19cm and Pink Plumage 15cm x 12cm. Please choose one when booking.
