4 Day Workshop - Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th July
Featured in Hazel’s book ‘Crewel Intentions’, this 4-day workshop will cover, not only a multitude of crewel embroidery stitches, but also the concept of using both loom weaving and needle lace techniques. You will use embroidery stitches to create areas which, whilst giving the impression of either appliqué or attached lace, have been worked with the stitcher's needle.
Measuring 260 x 200 mm, the project has been mounted for use as a tea tray. It is worked on a cotton/linen blend with Miyuki beads, stranded cotton, perle, satin and Dentelles thread.
The workshop will open up a world of possibilities for the already accomplished embroiderer and is for stitchers who have a good basic knowledge of the art.
