Mint Chocolate

The silk shibori pleated ribbon is made using 4" (10.16cm) bias silk ribbon and has been shibori dyed and pleated. Pleating brings the ribbon to approx. 1" (2.54cm) wide adding an additional dimension to your work.
The  colour and texture is steam set rendering the color washfast and lightfast and the pleating semi-permanent. You may wish to alter the texture with a light shot of steam from your iron or remove it completely by ironing flat on a silk steam setting to reveal the lovely shibori dye pattern.
Use this beautiful silk ribbon to create beautiful silk flowers,  raised beaded embroidery, embellish your favourite project, or work into a surface design or book binding project.
 

This is an original product. It comes in 91cm/36" lots but Australian Needle Arts would like to offer it in smaller quantities if required. Whilst everything possible has been done to offer a true likeness of the actual ribbons, the colour will vary depending on batch as they are hand dyed. Should you order a small length of ribbon you may find that it may not contain all of the colour variations as these are spread out.

Please note that some of the ribbon lengths come from the supplier with seams.
